Youth
Chorale Regional Tour, with an international flavor, is finally here! :) Thanks
to our wonderful YC Tour families and Singers, we had a smooth check-in and
headed off on time! After many movies, some snacks, and plenty of
pavement we stopped at the beautiful Episcopal Church of the Ascension in Knoxville for rehearsal.
This is DEFINITELY a venue we hope perform at sometime soon.
All
that singing makes us hungry! After dinner we shared a song with the nice
manager and supportive patrons. It’s amazing how these impromptu songs can become
some of our favorite performances of Tour. Can’t wait to be back in Knoxville next week with
our Treble Tour Team!
Following
dinner, we hit the road again. Thankfully
were able to drive in great weather through all 3 states towards our
destination in Dry Ridge, Kentucky.
After
some good sleep at the Microtel, we find ourselves one step closer to Cincinnati, and of
course, the 2012 World Choir Games. Can’t wait for an exciting day tomorrow: Opening
ceremonies and hopefully some fireworks to greet us on the Fourth in Ohio!
